Hampton Inn & Suites New Orleans Downtown (French Quarter Area)

5 Stars but not perfect Every channel on the TV says that information about the program is unavailable. The remote is slow to switch so when switching to the next channel it's easy to overshoot If there's a commercial on, oh well, you can't tell what's on there. (boo) The heat turns on once in a while for five seconds and rund very quietly (yay!). But prior to the heat turning on there's an audible click followed by a loud sound of putting a metal lid on a metal pot (boo). Scrambled eggs on Monday's breakfast were the best I've had in about 30 hotels these past 40 days. Moist and warm (yay!) but on Wednesday, it was easy over eggs, I think, and they were inedible (boo) Location is wonderful (yay) but the line of men hanging around at night in the dark on the sidewalk near the hotel are sketch. That's the direction to take when walking to/from Bourbon St. (boo) Bourbon Street is only a two block walk away (yay). My room has a view of the back of two buildings with what looks like huge ventilation openings (boo). But the room is very quiet (yay). Service and valet are excellent. (Hurray!)

Perfect location right next to the French Quarter for a reasonable price. Rooms are clean and come with free breakfast. Valet was quick and easy. I love how close we were to Bourbon but didnt have the noise all night. It was also pet friendly which was perfect since we had a cat with us. Would stay again.

Great location, breakfast was nice and a good choice. The room was clean and big 2 beds in it. The only thing was that the bodywash container was empty. The valet was great and we had a lovely chat with him.

During our recent 4-day stay, there was an issue with overbooking at check-in due to some guests extending their stays. Fortunately, Kim, the manager, stepped in immediately and handled the situation with incredible professionalism and care. She reassured us that she was aware of the issue and actively working to find a favorable resolution. Within minutes, she made a phone call and arranged accommodations for us at the AC Hotel directly across the street—at Hampton Inn’s expense—for the night. She calmly explained the process and assured us that we could return the next morning for breakfast and to check into our rooms at Hampton Inn. I am extremely grateful and impressed by how Kim handled what could have been a frustrating situation. She was kind, thoughtful, professional, and truly outstanding in her hospitality. Kim is the embodiment of what a great manager should be. In a time when exceptional customer service often feels like a thing of the past, Kim reminded me that there are still people out there who genuinely care about their guests and take pride in delivering the best experience possible. Thank you, Kim, for turning a potential setback into a reminder of what true hospitality looks like. You are truly amazing! I will highly recommend Hampton Inn Hotel to my family & friends. Enjoyed not only the outstanding service but also the inclusive breakfast, it being walking distance to Bourbon street and transportation stops as well as the clean rooms!

This was an excellent choice for our New Orleans trip. The location made getting around incredibly easy, with many attractions reachable by foot or a quick transit ride. The rooms were spotless and comfortable, and breakfast each morning was a nice bonus that helped us start the day right. What truly stood out was the staff—everyone we encountered was warm, welcoming, and eager to help with anything we needed. The combination of convenience, cleanliness, and friendly service made our stay enjoyable from beginning to end. I’d definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone visiting the city.

We stayed here for 5 nights. We were a little high maintenance, but the staff was wonderful. Check in and check out were smooth. Daily breakfast was nice, especially because there was some variety everyday. We requested daily housekeeping, and it was provided. As a Hilton Honors member, they were able to activate my digital room key which worked seamlessly. The fitness center was available, looked like the pictures, and the machines worked. The food court is only open during lunch hours, but the food was good, and the food court staff were very friendly. The location is central, and many places were walkable from the hotel. There were also several bus and streetcar stops right outside the hotel and within walking distance. I would definitely stay here again.

last night and I had the absolute pleasure of being checked in by Antonio, From the moment I arrived, he was warm, polite, and incredibly welcoming. After a long day of travel, his kindness and professionalism truly made all the difference. Antonio went above and beyond to make sure I felt comfortable and taken care of. He greeted me with genuine hospitality, offered helpful local tips, and made check-in quick and seamless. It’s rare these days to meet someone who so clearly loves what they do and takes pride in providing exceptional service — but Antonio absolutely does. Thanks to him, my stay started on such a positive note. If every hotel had a manager like Antonio, travel would always feel this easy and enjoyable. I can’t say enough good things — he’s a true asset to the Hampton Inn French Quarter team!

Lola at front desk was fantastic. The beds and breakfast was great. Valet parking is well worth money spent. Very safe place
